What our membership means to you

CODE provides advice and guidance to QPS practices on meeting the regulations and legislation that apply to dentistry. They use a quality management system called iComply that helps us to meet the Practice Goals on this page and continually improve. There are membership assessments to check that your practices are carrying out activities to meet the requirements for safety, care and service.

Please note that scheme membership cannot guarantee that treatment will always be satisfactory, as things sometimes do not go to plan, but the commitment to quality standards will give you a greater likelihood of a satisfactory treatment outcome.

QPS practice goals

  • Patients are the most important thing to the practice, patient satisfaction is the primary aim
  • To have a well-led practice
  • To do everything in an ethical way
  • That the whole team takes part in personal development
  • To have a quality management system to organise the practice
  • The practice management system is based on clear procedures and policies
  • The practice regularly assesses how well they are doing
  • The practice aims for continuous improvement in patient care, safety, service and satisfaction

Patient satisfaction is the primary goal of QPS practices

The approach to your care is based on the CODE standards

Your feedback is important

Your QPS practice wants to exceed your expectations, but in case they don’t at any time, they welcome feedback and suggestions to help them to improve. If you have any reason to think that they do not meet the Quality Practice Scheme requirements then please tell them. They will be pleased to explain how they work towards the goals for continuous improvement in care, safety and service.

In case that you are still not happy with their explanation you can contact CODE for a review, but please note that CODE cannot review treatment or care, but only how your practice meets Quality Practice Scheme requirements.
