Chief Executive
Paul Mendlesohn became Chief Executive of CODE in 2001 after Whitecross Dental Care, the dental practice chain he established was sold to Integrated Dental Holdings. Since 2001 CODE membership has quadrupled and Paul has introduced innovative management solutions for practice owners including the Management Modules and Clinical Governance Made Simple. Our members’ magazine Dentistry Opportunities continues to grow from strength to strength and provides members with new ways to develop their practices, bring new services to patients and stay abreast of the latest regulations.
CODEplan was launched in 2005 and offers tailor-made dental plans and patient finance at competitive rates, CODEplan practices benefit from the experience and support of the CODE team. Also launched in 2005 was the Association for Facial Aesthetics, a new branch to support dentists who are offering skin rejuvenation treatments such as Botox.
"As a practice owner myself, I understand the difficulties that we have staying abreast of regulations, managing our team and developing new services, whilst spending the majority of our time working with patients. That’s why our solutions are designed to lead dentists through the regulations and requirements in step by step way. It is much more important for a practice owner to focus on patients, our aim is to fully support the practice management team saving the principal time and money.
We also help practices to increase profitability and success through on-going personal and practice development. This is achieved through training, seminars and consultancy, the most popular topics include private practice development with CODEplan, clinical governance, facial aesthetics.
The change in funding of NHS dentistry brings us challenges but also new and exciting opportunities, this combined with the growth of awareness of health and beauty means that our patients have more sophisticated needs and expectations, with elective and cosmetic treatments becoming the norm. The CODE team will continue to lead the way in reacting to these changes giving our members the advice and guidance they need to enjoy success and fulfilment in their chosen career” .
Tim Eldridge
CODE Chairman
Since qualifying in Dentistry from Birmingham University Dr Tim Eldridge has gained a wealth of experience in multidisciplinary practices. Early in his career Tim learned from leading clinicians how to integrate and implement non-surgical cosmetic treatments into the dental practice.
In 2009 Tim along with his wife Lydia founded myFACE dentistry and facial aesthetics in Cheltenham, and is the principal dentist. Today Tim spends the majority of his time in practice combining non-surgical treatments with cosmetic dentistry.
Being a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Tim keeps up to date with the latest techniques. Currently Tim is chairman of CODE and is their facial aesthetics trainer and lecturer. Over the past few years Tim has trained hundreds of Dentists, Doctors Therapists, Hygienists and registered medical nurses in this field, both nationally and internationally. He has also lectured in facial aesthetics on some of the leading dental restorative courses, and has written articles for the dental press. Tim is part of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry and is director of their new diploma course in facial aesthetics. Tim also runs myFACE training - a bespoke training service in facial aesthetics.

Tanya Gilmore
General Manager
Tanya's previous experience as a University lecturer and linguistics researcher and her ongoing interest in employment law and general management help her to coordinate the day-to-day activities of the CODE offices. She keeps the CODE team up-to-date with the membership queries and makes sure that tasks flow smoothly. Tanya is the friendly face of CODE and members find her really helpful. "Every day is different, I enjoy talking to members and yes it's true I'm interested in employment law. This is fortunate because over half of our enquiries are employment-related. My team is expanding due to the pressure of an increasing membership and a wider range of services, I am finding this rapid growth a really enjoyable challenge".

The Board are there to guide and help with their many years of practice management and dentist employment experience. All Board members run their own practices.

Martin Delahaye
Martin has been a member of CODE since 1992 and a Council Member since 1993. He was Vice Chairman of CODE Council and is now Vice Chairman of the Advisory Board. Martin has a practice in Harley Street and a practice in Wimbledon. Martin's special interests include business management, audit and surgery design.
Nick Benger
Advisory Board Member
Nick has a multi-surgery pirvate practice in Mortlake and has a special interest in implants and cosmetic dentistry. Nick was Head of Dentistry for British Airways and prior to that Director of Operations for Whitecross Dental Care. Nick's role at BA included Occupational Health, Aviation Medicine and Risk Management for the airline as a whole. This covers topics as diverse as Industrial Relations, Health and Safety Management right through to transmission of infectious
disease.
