CODE Assure - CQC registration support and hand-holding
Registration Every primary dental care provider in England has to register with the Care Quality Commission. After registration practices will be inspected and will be expected to meet essential standards of quality and safety. Registered providers have a public 'risk profile' maintained by the CQC, which is based on a number of sources including the GDC, the PCT, patients and your submitted documentation. If there are concerns about the practice the CQC will contact you for information, may impose conditions or may carry out an inspection.
Now CODE can give you personal support at the practice for CQC registration and compliance with the regulations and legislation that applies to dentistry.
CODE Assure gives you support at the practice and by telephone or by email to lead you through the application process, to help you with ongoing compliance, to carry out practice health checks and provide accreditation. CODE has over 30 years experience of helping practice owners and managers to comply. The Management Modules- 'practice in a box' and Clinical Governance Made Simple are the solutions for all of your compliance needs.
Assure level 1 is a FULL DAY pre-inspection and compliance 'health check" to help you to prepare for registration. It consists of a one day practice visit by a CODE consultant who will conduct a gap analysis of compliance and the availability of 'evidence' for each of the CQC outcomes. This will give you an action plan to meet CQC standards. You will be given an additional half day of support by phone, fax or email whilst you complete the action plan and prepare the application form.
Although you don't need to be a member of CODE for the Pre-inspection check and report, compliance documents and evidence are available using the CODE Management Modules- 'practice in a box' and Clinical Governance Made Simple (CGS).
Buying or selling a practice? - if a dental practice is changing hands you may want to know that everything is up to date before the transaction takes place. A CODE health-check before buying or selling can speed up the process and give the parties involved peace of mind that they know about the level of practice compliance.
Assure level 2 leads you step-by-step to set up all of the compliance at the practice. The consultant will spend 3 days in the practice helping you to put all of the procedures, risk assessments, policies, training and action plans in place to achieve compliance..
